MARGARET KERRISON

Born in Indonesia and raised in Singapore, Margaret’s career spans sixteen years of creating narratives and writing for television, film, digital media, games, brand storytelling, location-based entertainment, narrative placemaking, and immersive experiences.
She is a Story Lead, Consultant, and Writer for multiple award-winning projects around the world, including Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, Avengers Campus, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, National Geographic Base Camp, and the NASA Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
She was a Disney Imagineer from 2014 to 2021. She is the author of Immersive Storytelling for Real and Imagined Worlds: A Writer’s Guide (2022) and Reimagined Worlds: Narrative Placemaking for People, Play, and Purpose (2024).
Margaret was the 2023 Paul Helmle Fellow for the Department of Architecture at California Polytechnic State University, Pomona, where she currently lectures. She is currently living in Los Angeles with her husband and son and is always looking for her next adventure and invitation to play.
